简介：Fatty liver is a frequent finding for the general practitioner. Diagnosis of non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) is made after exclusion of less common causes of liver damage， such as alcohol (<20 g/day)， HBV or HCV infection， drugs and autoimmune disorders. The term NAFLD includes simple steatosis， and non-alcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH)， which is characterized by hepatocellular damage， inflammation， and/or fibrosis and is histologically indistinguishable from alcoholic steatohepatitis.
