简介：Studies are in progress on the use of catalytic RNAs to inactivate HDV-RNA and a novel experimental approach to the therapy of HDV is the prevention of HD antigen prenylation by pharmacologic means， using a drug that specifically inhibits the enzyme responsible for the transfer of the prenyl lipid to the HD-antigen. Preliminary culture cell and mouse-model experiments suggest that prenylation inhibitor-based antiviral therapy may be feasible.
